To kick off my Skincare review, I have picked Skinlite's Ultra Hydrating Olive Oil Mask. I'm a fan of Skinlite, to be honest. My skin is of the combination/dry (sometimes) type, so I am very fond of hydrating masks. Let's take a look at this product!
The Info
* Renews and rehydrates your skin; it makes your skin look younger.
* Contains Olive Oil, Collagen and Vita-E: wow, I ADORE olive oil! As a matter of fact, I purchased a big bottle of olive oil for my curly but dry hair!
* 100% natural pulp protects your skin from allergy and provide closer adhesion to the face.
* METHYL-PARABEN is there >.<"""""". No offense, Skinlite, but paraben has been suspected to be a cause of skin cancer! Until now there's no proof for that yet, but it does add a big minus point to the product.
My Thoughts Now
Hm, it seems to be a worthy product. I bought it at SG Sasa at S$0.95, a discounted price. I have always used Skinlite masks since I was aware of the existence of facial masks, therefore I am longing for a spectacular result (Lol, just exaggerating, excuse my poor English ^v^). There are rumors that Skinlite brand is a total brag regarding their products, that they never work for a lot of skincare product users. I didn't believe a word from them, lol, 'cause the masks did work on my face a lot of times and I never found myself suffering from any allergy. Well, there were skin burns when I used the purple (?) moisturizing masks, but that was all the problem I had. I guess it was quite serious, so I just stop using that type, and all was fine.
The After-use
When I opened the package, I found that the smell was a bit unpleasant. It was not strong at all, in fact there was hardly any smell, but you could sense it somehow. You know the feeling right? The sheet was, urgh, very easily torn; I did tear down the nose part when I tried to expand the mask. Not a good start, lol. After I put it on, at first I felt cool and pleased with it. About 5 mins later, it gave me a little skin burn. In the morning when I woke up, my face was slightly sticky >.<", and as dry as usual (not that I wore the mask all night long; only 20 mins). Hm, it did lighten my skin a little bit, but that was incomparable with the effects of Ginseng masks I always used.
Repurchase?
I'm sorry but it's a No.
